NO BID FOR JAMES RODRIGUEZ SAYS PSG PRESIDENT
Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has denied the club have made a move to sign Real Madrid's James Rodriguez.
Reports in the French media had suggested that Rodriguez, 24, was in advanced talks over a switch to PSG.
The Colombian attacking midfielder has fallen out of favour under new Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane but Al-Khelaifi said the French champions had not been in contact about a transfer.
Asked if he had a discussion with Rodriguez, Al-Khelaifi told a news conference: "It's not true at all. We haven't spoken with him, we haven't spoken with Real Madrid, we haven't spoken with anybody."
Rodriguez already has experience of playing in France, having moved to Real Madrid from Monaco.
New PSG boss Unai Emery also spoke at the news conference, saying he hopes to "achieve big things" but denying that winning the Champions League is the club's sole objective.
