GUARDIOLA TALKS TOO MUCH AND INEXPERIENCED BLASTS RIBERY
France international Franck Ribery backlashes his former manager Pep Guardiola, citing that he "lacks experience."
"Pep didn't have a long career as manager," he told Bild. "He is a young coach. He lacks experience. Sometimes he talks too much. Football is very simple."
On Monday, Ribery praised his new coach Carlo Ancelotti, telling kicker: "I'm finally feeling the trust again under Ancelotti. He is a great coach. I'm feeling free and motivated. Ancelotti is a gift for the club."
It is not the first time Ribery, who scored twice in Bayern's 3-3 draw against AC Milan on Wednesday, has criticised Guardiola. In 2014, the Frenchman questioned Guardiola's selection policy, saying he was struggling to find his rhythm.
"I don't need to be told: Do this and this. I need be free on the pitch. I need face-to-face encounters, I need a motivating pat on the back. That was the case with Ottmar [Hitzfeld] and Jupp [Heynckes]. Ancelotti is cool," Ribery told Bild. "[It is] Important to move forward quickly and score. Not playing too much back and forth."
Ribery's contract with the German side expires at the end of 2017 and he his confident he can continue to be an asset for the team.
He added: "We still have time to talk. But I can still play two more years on this level. It's important that I stay healthy. Even with 33 I want to give my best for the club and fans. That is my character."
