ADRIANO JOINS BESIKTAS FROM BARCELONA

Besiktas have completed the signing of Adriano Correia from Barcelona for an initial €600,000, but defender Jeremy Mathieu says he turned down an offer to leave the Camp Nou and join the Turkish club

Barcelona said the transfer fee for Adriano, 31, will rise by €1.7 million if Bestikas qualify for the Champions League within the duration of his contract. He was previously reported to have agreed a three-year deal.
The Turkish club confirmed at the weekend that negotiations to sign the Brazilian full-back were underway and he has now completed the move.
Adriano, who had one year remaining on his contract at the Camp Nou, joined Barca from Sevilla in 2010 and won 16 trophies during his time with the club, including four La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues.
Adriano started only four La Liga games last season, with a further four substitute appearances.
