"If he retires, it would be like somebody stealing the Mona Lisa -- it would be a crime against sporting humanity," his agent, Mino Raiola, told Radio Monte-Carlo. "If he retires, I'm going to lock him up in a cell until he changes his mind."
"Ibra is one of the best players in the world," Mancini told France Football. "With [Lionel] Messi, [Cristiano] Ronaldo and [Gonzalo] Higuain, he's one of the best forwards in circulation. Each of these players I've named score at least a goal per game and when you've got players like them, you can win everything.
"I'm not surprised that he's still decisive at his age either. When I was 35, I won the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia and I think Ibra can play on until he's 35 or 36. Zlatan always gets 20-25 goals a season and almost always wins the league wherever he is. I think he can crown his dream this year by winning the Champions League at last."
Raiola does not expect Ibrahimovic to choose retirement over another few years of football, although he says there is no urgency to reveal where he will be playing next season. "We want to take the right decision, but we're not in any rush," he said. "We'll take all the time we need. Many people want Zlatan and it would be odd for him not to have any offers. Zlatan's only priority is ending the season well, reaching the Champions League final and possibly winning it. Then he'll have a great European Championship with Sweden.
"He's no ordinary player -- he's still one of the best. He's always said he'd like to play on for another five years. Zlatan's motivated and the clubs who want to offer him a contract know this. Besides, he doesn't need to play on for the money -- he just wants to prove he can still get better."
PSG's 2-2 draw with Manchester City on Wednesday night complicates their path to the final of the Champions League, and Ibrahmovic's penalty miss could prove costly in his hopes of lifting the one major trophy he has yet to get his hands on.
