According to Dalung, the ministerial committee will be tasked to restructure and redefine sports in the country and will help redesign sports from a service oriented model to a private sector developmental one.
The minister announced that the ministerial committee chairman to reform sports is Godwin Kienka, a Tennis aficionado and director of the International Tennis Academy (ITA).
Chief Segun Odegbemi, an ex-international, former NFF and Fifa presidential aspirant alongside Ayo Ojubato, Bola Oredele were listed as members of the committee.
Also members are Fatai Williams, retired Colonel Sam Ahmedu, Yusuf Datti, Kayode Thomas and Mary Onyali. Other members are the technical assistant to the minister, the director of grassroots sports and the director of planning, monitoring and implementation in the ministry of youth and sports.
The committee headed by Kienka will be inaugurated by the minister at the media center, package A of the National Stadium, Abuja at 3pm on Thursday, April 7.
His achievement is very great in the eyes of the profession.
