Vardy, who has scored 22 goals in the Premier League this season, was charged for his reaction to referee Jon Moss after being shown a second yellow card for simulation during the recent 2-2 draw with West Ham United.
He accepted the ban but requested a personal hearing in a bid to try and persuade leniency.
The 29-year-old England international has already served a one-match suspension as a result of the sending off, missing the 4-0 victory over Swansea City at the weekend.
The Telegraph and other outlets reported on Monday night that the FA decided he should serve an additional one-match ban as punishment. Neither Leicester nor the FA were available for comment when contacted by Press Association Sport on Monday.
Vardy, who has also been fined £10,000 by the FA, could be watching Leicester's historic title clincher from the Old Trafford stands. Their victory over Swansea, combined with Tottenham's 1-1 draw on Monday, means Leicester will be guaranteed the title if they can secure three points.
The Foxes will have their striker back for the season's final two games, at home against Everton and at Chelsea, and even three draws would be enough to win the league.
