Argentina Superstar Lionel Messi has said his Catalan club are so much more than just the front attacking line of himself, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
The Blaugrana are now 38 games unbeaten, and on Wednesday they booked their place in the Champions League quarterfinals after they beat Arsenal 5-1 on aggregate, with Messi on target at Camp Nou. They remain on course for a historic back-to-back Treble of Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey trophies.
"I don't think that FCB depend upon the three on top," the Argentina international said on Thursday during a promotional event for his new mobile sponsor. "We have a very deep team and we are so much more than three players. We have impressive players that mean we don't have to depend upon three. We help on offense and defense. The team does not depend upon us.
Barcelona's renowned triumvirate all scored to knock the Gunners out of the Champions League -- taking the trio's combined goal tally to 106 for the season.
"We are not ruling anything out, we know [winning] depends upon us and each day there are fewer matches," he said. "We are taking it game by game. We want to continue to win and we are trying to get it all."
He added that he had no preference for Champions League quarterfinal rival heading into Friday's draw. Coach Luis Enrique had said on Wednesday that the only rival he would not want to face would be Barcelona.
"Whomever we face we are going to accept it. There is no way to choose an opponent," Messi said. "Whomever it ends up being, the match will be complicated, but it doesn't matter because we will be fine."
