Manchester City have lost winger Jesus Navas ahead of their clash against leaders Leicester. The Spaniard faces a minimum of three weeks out with a hamstring injury suffered in the midweek win at Sunderland. Captain Vincent Kompany (calf) is making encouraging progress but is not yet fit to return. Defender Eliaquim Mangala (hamstring), midfielders Kevin De Bruyne (knee/ankle) and Samir Nasri (thigh), plus striker Wilfried Bony (shin), remain on the sidelines.

He last played a competitive game for former club FC Copenhagen at the start of December because of the winter break. Only Matty James (knee) and Jeff Schlupp (hamstring) will definitely be absent for Leicester.

Remi Garde is facing a striker crisis with Jordan Ayew banned for the next three games. The forward was sent off in the 2-0 defeat at West Ham on Tuesday and starts his suspension against Norwich on Saturday. Fellow strikers Libor Kozak and Rudy Gestede are also out with Kozak expected to be sidelined for a month after a minor fracture to his ankle but Gestede (hamstring) could return next week. Ashley Westwood (calf) may be available but Carlos Sanchez (hamstring), Adama Traore (foot) and Jordan Amavi (knee) are all out.

Alex Tettey must serve a ban after the Norwegian collected his 10th yellow card in the midweek defeat to Tottenham. Winger Robbie Brady is expected to be available again following illness, but midfielder Graham Dorrans is still struggling to shake off a bug. Midfielder Gary O'Neil has now completed a three-match ban following his dismissal at Stoke, while striker Patrick Bamford will be in the squad for the first time since signing on loan from Chelsea ahead of the transfer deadline.

Midfielder Joe Allen is expected to overcome a shoulder injury to be available for the visit of Sunderland. Strikers Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi and playmaker Philippe Coutinho all returned to training but will not be available until next week's FA Cup replay at West Ham at the earliest. Defender Martin Skrtel has suffered a minor setback in his rehabilitation from a hamstring problem and will be out for a further two to three weeks.

Central defender Younes Kaboul will return to the squad after recovering from a hamstring problem which has sidelined him since before Christmas, but midfielder Sebastian Larsson (knee) is still out.

Newcastle head coach Steve McClaren is facing a fresh injury crisis. Full-back Paul Dummett (hamstring) and Chancel Mbemba (ankle) are injured and fellow central defender Jamaal Lascelles is suspended following his red card at Everton, while midfielder Jack Colback, a candidate to fill in at left-back, is also out with a hamstring problem. Midfielder Cheick Tiote is available after his proposed move to Shanghai Shenhua fell through, but McClaren will draft under-21s Callum Williams, Liam Gibson and Dan Barlaser into a squad which will also have goalkeeper Tim Krul (knee), defenders Massadio Haidara (also knee) and Kevin Mbabu (thigh), midfielders Vurnon Anita and Gabriel Obertan (both hamstring) and Siem de Jong (eye) and striker Papiss Cisse (groin) missing.

Jonny Evans limped off against Swansea on Tuesday night with a hamstring problem and the defender will be out for at least a couple of weeks. The Northern Ireland international joins compatriot Chris Brunt (calf), James Morrison (hamstring) and Callum McManaman (ankle) on the sidelines. Saido Berahino will be in the squad against the club who had a bid for him rejected before the transfer deadline, although Baggies boss Tony Pulis says the striker is unlikely to start as he continues to build up his fitness.

Record signing Giannelli Imbula could make his debut in against Everton, while Philipp Wollscheid is set for a late fitness test. Midfielder Imbula was not eligible to feature in Tuesday's 3-0 loss at Manchester United. Wollscheid (calf) was forced off early in that game but Potters boss Mark Hughes -- definitely still without three other defensive options in Ryan Shawcross (back), Geoff Cameron (ankle) and Marc Wilson (knee) -- is hopeful the German might be able to face the Toffees.

Deadline-day signing Oumar Niasse is awaiting final completion of his paperwork in order to join the matchday squad.

Crystal Palace could be without James McArthur for the rest of the season after the midfielder confirmed he had suffered ankle ligament damage. Jason Puncheon also suffered a hamstring injury in the match and manager Alan Pardew has said the winger will be absent for a "long period." Dwight Gayle, Yohan Cabaye, Sullay Kaikai are available for the trip to Swansea after overcoming injuries but Yannick Bolasie is still recovering from his hip injury, although he could be available again later this month.

Mauricio Pochettino is hopeful Dele Alli will be available after he came off at half-time in the Norwich match feeling dizzy, but the in-form youngster has returned to training and will be assessed ahead of the weekend. Spurs midfielder Ryan Mason could also feature at White Hart Lane after recovering from an ankle injury but Clinton Njie and Jan Vertonghen are both out with knee problems.

Defenders Tommie Hoban (groin) and Joel Ekstrand (knee) both continue their rehabilitation.

Eddie Howe will make a late call on Junior Stanislas' after the winger suffered a knee injury two weeks ago. Fellow forward Josh King came off the bench in the 2-1 midweek win at Crystal Palace and could be in line to start against the Gunners as he continues his return to full fitness following a hamstring problem. Max Gradel and Callum Wilson remain on the long-term absentee list but Howe says their comebacks are on schedule, meaning Gradel could be back in March and Wilson available for April.
