NEW YORK CITY FC IS EYEING IKER CASILLAS OF PORTO


Real Madrid legend and Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas is been eyed by New York City FC, a source revealed to CCS.
The new head coach Patrick Vieira, iskeen to strengthen the squad ahead the new MLS season.
Manchester's City's sister club already have former Chelsea star Frank Lampard, Italian playmaker Andrea Pirlo and ex-Barcelona striker David Villa in their squad.
A source revealed to CCS that New York City have held a long-term interest in former Real Madrid player Casillas, as reported by EcoDiario.es, and they hope they can convince him to leave Europe for America.
Iker who started his career at Real Madrid, played over  500 appearances for the spanish giants before his departure to Porto last summer.
The legendary goalkeeper enjoyed huge success with the Los Blancos, winning 5 La Liga titles and 3 Champions Leagues during his time at the Bernabeu.
Iker won major trophies with Spain, captaining his country to success at Euro 2008, Euro 2012 and helping Spain lift their first World Cup in South Africa in 2010.
The shot-stopper has just over a year to run on his contract at Porto, but the source said that New York City are exploring the possibility of signing him as soon as possible.
