"Sure, it could have been better, we had many opportunities," Luiz, who joined PSG from Chelsea in 2014, told UEFA. "It's only a narrow win, but a win against a good team. I think we gave it our all tonight and got the win we wanted.
"We have good feelings [for the second leg]. It's already a good step to take from the first-leg. Everything will be decided in the return leg."
Asked if it meant even more to the Brazilian to be playing against his former team, Luiz said yes, "it's special."
"I have a lot of respect for the club, the players, for everybody. It is always difficult to play against a fantastic team, so I am very happy because I think we did an amazing job against a tough side and we are still fighting to qualify
