Valencia coach gary Neville rebuffed claims that he would tender his resignation letter after his struggling Valencia side was humiliated 7-0 in Wednesday's Copa del Rey semifinal first leg at the nou camp.
Valencia has been winless in his eight La Liga games in charge, he was asked if he will step down after less two months at the helms he simply said: "No."
He was asked if he was worried about his job, he said: "Next question."
But he told reporters the defeat had been painful and added: "I am not going to sleep well tonight. The fans do not deserve this. I did not like what I saw.
"It was one of the most painful experiences I've had in football. I've had some as a player and now I've had some as a manager. We have made so many silly errors that you can't make at any level, let alone against this team.
"I stood out there both halves feeling helpless, trying to change it in some way, knowing the tide of the game was against us. We were playing against a fantastic team, keep that in perspective, but the scoreline is unacceptable.
"When you give ball away and leave yourself open to be counter-attacked, when you give the ball away like that -- to three of the best forward players in the world -- it's impossible.
"I feel most for the fans. It's their club, and tonight they suffer very badly."
"I need to make sure everything in the players' minds shifts to Sunday and Betis," he said. "I wish the match against Betis could start in 10 minutes. Be clear, we have to deliver on Sunday."
Speaking on Canal Plus after what was Valencia's heaviest defeat in any competition since 1993, sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch apologised to all Los Che fans.
"This day you cannot explain," he said. "We must recognise we have done a lot of things wrong. We must apologise to the fans for one of the worst results in the history of the club, and it has come in a Copa del Rey semifinal."
Asked to comment on Neville's team selection and tactics, and his future at the club, he said: "I never talk about tactical or team things.
"Everyone can draw their own opinion from what happened. We must think about this internally. This is not the best day to take decisions, or to talk about the future
