Both players teamed up to help Ivory Coast win the African Cup of Nations last year and Aurier has been steadily rising as one of the top full-backs in world football since.
His suspension was for a video he posted on social media, where he made derogatory remarks about head coach Laurent Blanc and PSG's star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Chelsea legend posted a long comment on Twitter, where he has rallied for the football fraternity to forgive Aurier and let him grow and mature as a player.
The Legend says, i don't often comment on theses things, the way my little brother @serge aurier has been treated over the past few days has really upset me so i feel the need to say something.yes he made a mistake yes he said something he should not to have said. But we have all made mistakes, players myself included, coaches, managers, referee's,club presidents, even the fans.and even the people saying he should be put in jail. How can a young player learn from their mistakes if they are not given proper support and advice,Should we not be educating younger players on how to behave,Preparing them for a world where social media can make or break your career,Or are we just pointing fingers and banning players and not the others.Which simply achieve nothing..........
Bon courage mon frere
